Dr. Bruce Sangeorzan is a specialist at the Sigvard T. Hansen Jr. Foot and Ankle Institute, the Director of the VA Center Of Excellence in Limb Loss Prevention and Prosthetic Engineering, and professor in the University of Washington Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Sangeorzan earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan and doctor of medicine degree from Wayne State University in Detroit where he also completed his residency before coming to the University of Washington for a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology and a second in foot and ankle reconstruction.

He has received the Resdient Teaching Award, the OREF Clinical research award, The Mann Award for clinical research, the AMSUS Award for contributions to military care, and the Paul Magnusson Award for sustained contribution to clinical research for veterans' care.
